Develop an understanding about the psychology of, the identification of, and the methods of instruction for the exceptional child, including without limitation the learning disabled, by learning requirements for pre-referral intervention/response to intervention (RTI), referral, assessment and evaluation, and development of IEPs and 504 plans for students Birth-21 with special learning needs. Optional graduate credit available: 3.0 semester hours.
