Chapman University, ASPD's original partner, was founded in 1861 and is one of the oldest, most prestigious private universities in California.  Chapman was ranked #10 in its category in U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges.”  Since launching its Extended Education division in 1983, through partnerships with high quality providers such as ASPD, Chapman's extension programs enrollment surpasses 15,000!

Since its inception in 1921, Adams State College expanded from its original mission of preparing teachers for rural areas to include excellent programs in all disciplines, as well as graduate programs.  The college’s Extended Studies program provides credit, non-credit, and professional development courses to more than 12,500 students at a distance through ASPD and other carefully selected partner organizations and corporations.  Adams State was selected as the exclusive credit granting partner for PBS Teacher Line programs.
