Our partnership with the prestigious Chapman University allows teachers to complete courses and earn graduate credits that may be applicable toward endorsement requirements in many states. Addtionally, these credits may also be applicable toward salary advancement, recertification, and other continuing education requirements.
FULLY ONLINE AND BLENDED DELIVERY OPTIONS
ASPD courses are offered in one of two formats:fully onlineor throughblended delivery which combines face-to-face and online learning.
ASPD courses have the depth, breadth, and rigor necesary to fulfill the universal standard for credit. Consistent with that standard, ASPD courses are designed to provide participants with 15+ contact hours ofcontact for each credit earned. Therefore,courses for which three (3) graduate credits are available will require a minimum of 45 contact hours, regardless of delivery format.
ACCELERATED DELIVERY
ASPDprogramsare designed to be completed in about 4-6 weeks of intensive study.Online courseshave an enddate set for 45 days after the dateone enters the course. Blended delivery coursesvary slightly on their end dates to accomodate variationsin school and district calendars.
EARNING GRADUATE CREDIT
To earn graduate credit for ASPD programs:
- Register for the course with ASPD
- Successfully complete all requirements, including a final project
- Register for graduate credit from Chapman University ($150 at the time this page was published, however, Chapman at its sole discretion may change this fee)
- Receive a letter grade from and graduate credit from Chapman Univeristy after all work and the final project has been accepted as satisfactory
TRANSCRIPTS
An official transcript may then be requested from Chapman University for submission to the state, school, school district, or other accrediting agency for review. A link is provided on the right panel of this website.
