Introduction to Proprietary School Teaching
(2 credit hours)
This introductory course is appropriate for new or experienced proprietary school educators who have never taken professional education courses and those new to working with non-traditional adult learners.
Content includes: exploration and application of principles of adult learning in proprietary education, Maslow's Hierarchy, Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development, learning styles research, 4MAT and other instructional models.

Advanced Methods for Effective Proprietary School Teaching (2 credit hours)
This course is appropriate for anyone teaching in proprietary schools who has not pursued the study of teaching adults.
Content includes: advanced strategies for improving course design, lessons, assessment, and class management with emphasis on working with non-traditional, adult learners. |
