HOW TO REQUEST TRANSCRIPTS

Request transcripts from the college/university where credit was granted.
Each institution has its own requirements. Follow directions EXACTLY as provided by the university/college from which transcripts are being requested. ASPD is unable to provide any support for acquiring transcripts as colleges are goverened by federal privacy laws.
Note: Credit is only granted to those who satisfactorily completed all course requirements AND completed the registration process at the partner university/college. Remember, registration for ASPD programs has two parts: registration with ASPD allows you to take the course. Registration with the partner university/college is required to obtain a final grade and credit.
WHAT IS AN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT AND WHY DO I NEED IT?
Official transcripts are generally required by states, school districts, colleges, and others to whom transcripts are submitted for review. An official transcript is one which is presented from a college or university in an unopened envelope that has the seal of the institution over the flap.
Request sufficient numbers of transcripts so you will have one for EACH entity requiring an official transcripts.
Example: Someone planning to planning to apply the college/university credits toward state endorsements, recertification requirements, and lane/salary advancement, would likely need THREE (3) official transcripts, plus one or two for filing at home (if desired)
- One to submit with the state endorsement application
- One to file with the recertification documents
- One to send to the school district for review for salary increases
- Additionally, most individuals like to have one or two on file at home for future use.
